By registering for, joining or participating in the WCL, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and the applicable WCL Rules & Regulations.

Acceptance of These Terms
By registering a Team, joining a Team, registering as a Free Agent, registering as a Player, participating in an official WCL fixture or otherwise completing a WCL registration process that requires acceptance of these Terms, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
You must not register or participate if you do not agree to these Terms.
Where acceptance is recorded electronically, the WCL may retain a record of the version of the Terms accepted and the date and time of acceptance.
Eligibility
Participation in the WCL is subject to the eligibility requirements contained in the current Rulebook.
Players must be at least 18 years of age. Additional eligibility requirements, including requirements relating to game or platform bans, team membership and active WCL sanctions, are governed by the Rulebook.
By registering or participating, you represent that the information you provide to the WCL is accurate and that you satisfy the applicable eligibility requirements.
Providing false, misleading or deliberately incomplete information in order to circumvent an eligibility requirement may constitute a violation of WCL rules.
WCL Rules & Regulations
Participation in WCL competition is governed by the current WCL Rules & Regulations in addition to these Terms.
The Rulebook governs competitive matters including, but not limited to, league structure, fixtures, scheduling, scoring, match rules, server requirements, gameplay restrictions, competitive integrity, player eligibility, team eligibility, rosters, Free Agents, refereeing and disciplinary action.
Participants are responsible for familiarising themselves with the rules applicable to them before participating in an official WCL fixture or activity.
Where these Terms and the Rulebook address different matters, both apply. Where an unavoidable direct conflict exists, these Terms govern general use of WCL services and the Rulebook governs the operation of the competition, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Teams & Team Registration
Team registration is subject to approval by League Administration and satisfaction of the eligibility requirements established in the Rulebook.
Submission of a Team application does not guarantee acceptance into the WCL or placement in a particular division.
Teams are responsible for maintaining accurate registration and roster information and for ensuring that their registered Players remain eligible to participate.
Each Team must designate a Team Leader or authorised representative responsible for communication with League Administration.
A Team Leader represents the Team for WCL administrative purposes and is responsible for ensuring that information submitted on behalf of the Team is accurate and authorised.
The WCL is not responsible for resolving private ownership, leadership or membership disputes within a clan or Team except to the extent necessary to determine who the WCL recognises as the authorised representative for league purposes.
Team Membership
A Player may request to join a registered Team through the WCL platform where that functionality is available.
A request to join a Team does not create membership until the request has been accepted by an authorised Team Leader or representative.
Team Leaders are responsible for accepting or rejecting membership requests submitted to their Team.
Registration to a WCL Team concerns league participation only. It does not determine membership, rank, ownership or status within any external clan, Discord server or other organisation.
Player transfers, representation of multiple Teams and eligibility following departure from a Team remain subject to the Rulebook.
Free Agents
An eligible Player who is not currently registered to a participating Team may register as a Free Agent.
By becoming a Free Agent, you agree that your Free Agent status and relevant league profile information may be made visible to registered Teams for legitimate recruitment and substitute purposes.
Free Agent status does not guarantee recruitment, Team membership, selection as a substitute or participation in any fixture.
A Player may deactivate their Free Agent status through the WCL platform when that functionality is available.
Accounts & Authentication
WCL services may use third-party authentication services, including Discord, to identify users and associate them with their WCL participation.
You are responsible for maintaining control of any third-party account used to authenticate with the WCL.
You must not impersonate another person, knowingly register using another person's account or attempt to circumvent a WCL suspension, ban or eligibility restriction by using an alternative account or identity.
The WCL may restrict access to an account where reasonably necessary to protect account security, investigate suspected abuse or enforce an applicable WCL sanction.
League Administration
League Administration is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the WCL and enforcement of the Rulebook.
In carrying out those responsibilities, League Administration may take reasonable administrative measures necessary to operate the competition, maintain accurate league records, investigate suspected rule violations and protect competitive integrity.
Competitive and disciplinary powers are exercised in accordance with the Rulebook. Nothing in these Terms creates additional sporting sanctions beyond those authorised by the applicable WCL rules.
The League Council provides participating Teams with representation in league-wide matters as described in the Rulebook. The League Council does not determine individual disciplinary cases or referee decisions.
Referees & Competitive Decisions
Referees and League Administration exercise their respective responsibilities in accordance with the Rulebook.
Where an immediate referee ruling is required during a fixture, that ruling applies for the purpose of allowing the fixture to continue and may subsequently be reviewed by League Administration where permitted by the Rulebook.
Participants agree to use the appropriate WCL channels for disputes and reviews rather than deliberately disrupting the operation of a fixture or WCL service.
The WCL may correct clerical, technical or data-entry errors in published fixtures, standings, rosters, results or other league records where the correction does not improperly alter a legitimate competitive decision.
Conduct & Competitive Integrity
Participants must comply with the conduct and competitive integrity requirements contained in the Rulebook.
Cheating, match fixing, collusion, unauthorised third-party software, prohibited exploitation, stream sniping and other attempts to obtain an illegitimate competitive advantage may result in disciplinary action as provided by the Rulebook.
Competitive rivalry, criticism, disagreement and banter are not prohibited merely because another participant dislikes or disagrees with them. Conduct becomes a WCL matter where it breaches the Rulebook, applicable platform rules, materially disrupts league operations or compromises competitive integrity.
Disciplinary Action
Violations of WCL rules may result in disciplinary action in accordance with the sanctions, considerations and procedures established by the Rulebook.
Where a suspension or permanent ban includes removal from official WCL platforms under the Rulebook, the WCL may restrict the affected person's access to league-managed accounts, systems and official community spaces as necessary to give effect to that sanction.
Nothing in these Terms guarantees that a warning or lesser sanction must precede a more serious sanction where the Rulebook permits immediate action for a serious violation.
User-Submitted Content
Users and Teams may be permitted to submit content to WCL platforms, including Team names, Team tags, logos, descriptions, profile information and other materials.
You retain ownership of content that you own. By submitting content to the WCL, you grant the WCL a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, resize, format and otherwise use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, administer, broadcast and promote the WCL and its competitions.
This licence does not transfer ownership of your content to the WCL.
You represent that you have the necessary rights or permission to submit the content and to grant the licence described above.
You must not knowingly submit content that infringes another person's copyright, trademark or other rights, is unlawful, impersonates another organisation, contains malicious software or otherwise violates applicable WCL rules.
The WCL may remove or refuse to display submitted content where reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect the rights of others, maintain the operation of WCL platforms or enforce applicable WCL rules.
WCL Content & Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, original WCL branding, written materials, graphics, competition documents and website content created by or for the WCL remain the property of their respective rights holders.
WCL materials may not be reproduced, redistributed, sold, republished or presented as official WCL material without permission except where permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms grants a right to impersonate the WCL, falsely claim WCL endorsement or operate another service in a manner that deliberately misrepresents it as an official WCL service.
Third-party names, trademarks, game assets and other intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners.
Independent Community Competition
The Wardogs Competitive League is an independent community-run competitive league.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, the WCL is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or operated by BULKHEAD or any other developer, publisher, platform provider or third party associated with Wardogs.
References to Wardogs, BULKHEAD, Discord, Steam or other third-party products and services are made for identification and operational purposes and do not by themselves imply endorsement or affiliation.
Third-Party Services
The WCL relies on or interacts with third-party services that it does not control. These may include Wardogs game services, community servers, Discord, Steam, streaming platforms and other external services.
Use of third-party services remains subject to the applicable third party's own terms, policies and technical availability.
The WCL is not responsible for decisions made independently by third-party providers, including account suspensions, game bans, service outages, API changes, platform restrictions or discontinuation of third-party services.
Website & Service Availability
The WCL aims to keep its website and league services available and accurate but does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or continuous availability.
WCL services may be temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, hosting failures, software errors, third-party outages, security incidents or other circumstances outside the reasonable control of the WCL.
Features may be added, modified or discontinued where reasonably necessary for the operation or development of the WCL.
Where information displayed on the website conflicts with an official competitive ruling or an authoritative league record because of a clerical or technical error, the error may be corrected.
Events Outside WCL Control
The WCL will not be responsible for failure or delay in performing an obligation where that failure results from circumstances outside its reasonable control.
Such circumstances may include significant game or platform outages, hosting failures, DDoS attacks, widespread network disruption, developer updates, security incidents, natural disasters or other exceptional events.
Competitive consequences of technical failures affecting an official fixture are determined under the Rulebook.
Limitation of Liability
Participation in the WCL is undertaken voluntarily.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the WCL and persons acting on its behalf are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from participation in the WCL or use of WCL platforms.
This includes, to the extent permitted by law, loss resulting from interruption of WCL services, loss of access to third-party services, loss of competitive opportunity, scheduling changes, technical failures or actions taken in good-faith enforcement of the Rulebook.
The WCL does not guarantee any particular competitive result, division placement, Team membership, roster position, Free Agent recruitment opportunity, broadcast exposure or continued availability of any particular league feature.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
Privacy & Personal Data
The WCL may process personal data where necessary to operate league accounts, authentication, registrations, rosters, competition administration, moderation, disciplinary processes, security and other legitimate WCL functions.
Details concerning the personal data collected by the WCL, the purposes and legal bases for processing, retention, sharing and the rights available to individuals will be described separately in the WCL Privacy Policy.
These Terms do not replace the WCL Privacy Policy.
Leaving the WCL
Participants may cease participating in the WCL subject to any competition consequences established by the Rulebook.
A Team withdrawing during an active season remains subject to the withdrawal provisions of the Rulebook.
Leaving a Team, deactivating Free Agent status or ceasing participation does not require the WCL to erase information that must lawfully be retained for legitimate administrative, security, competitive-record or legal purposes.
Requests concerning personal data are handled in accordance with the WCL Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law.
Changes to These Terms
The WCL may amend these Terms where reasonably necessary to reflect changes to league operations, website functionality, applicable law or other material circumstances.
Each published version will identify its version number and effective date.
Where a change materially affects the rights or obligations of registered Participants, the WCL will provide reasonable notice and may require Participants to review and accept the updated Terms before continuing to use affected WCL services or participate in the League.
Changes to competitive rules are governed separately through the procedures and responsibilities established by the Rulebook and are not determined merely by amendment of these Terms.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will apply only to the extent permitted by law.
The remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent that they can operate independently of the affected provision.
No Waiver
A failure or delay by the WCL to enforce a provision of these Terms or the Rulebook on one occasion does not automatically waive the right to enforce that provision in the future.
Previous administrative practice does not prevent the WCL from applying the published rules correctly in a later case, provided that enforcement remains consistent with applicable WCL rules and law.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.
Nothing in these Terms removes any mandatory rights or protections that apply to a Participant under applicable law.
Participants and the WCL should first make reasonable efforts to resolve administrative disputes through the appropriate WCL communication channels before pursuing external remedies, where appropriate.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the applicable WCL Rules & Regulations and policies expressly incorporated into them, form the rules governing a Participant's use of WCL services and participation in the competition.
Nothing in this section prevents official fixture-specific or administrative instructions from applying where they are authorised by and consistent with the Rulebook.
Contact
Questions concerning these Terms & Conditions should be directed to League Administration through the official WCL communication channels.
Legal, privacy and administrative contact details may be published separately on the WCL website as the relevant services become operational.
